چکیده

Abstract Introduction This study aimed to determine the effects of denosumab treatment on joint destruction Japanese females with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) antibodies. Materials methods retrospective longitudinal included 56 patients treated 50 bisphosphonate. All participants were positive for anti-CCP also had a history osteoporosis bisphosphonate, which was either continued or switched 60 mg subcutaneous injection every 6 months. To assess progression destruction, hand foot radiographs taken, changes in modified total Sharp score (mTSS), erosion (ERO), space narrowing (JSN) evaluated at 12 months 24 The BMD lumbar spine hip assessed Results At months, there significant differences change ERO ( p = 0.015) mTSS 0.01). Similarly, 0.013) 0.003) In contrast, no difference observed JSN clinical parameters. There femoral neck 0.011) 0.012). Conclusion Denosumab might be effective inhibition bone RA, it potentially contributes prevention destructive switching from bisphosphonate .

OBJECTIVES To evaluate the prevalence of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) antibodies and RF in RA patients and their relatives from Southern Brazil. METHODS Anti-CCP2 and IgM-RF were evaluated in 156 RA patients and 200 relatives. Sera from 100 healthy unrelated individuals were used as control. The anti-CCP2 was detected by ELISA and the IgM-RF using the latex agglutination test....

Role of anti cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies in erosive disease in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES Antibodies to cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) are a recently described marker in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), which are said to connote aggressive disease. No data on these antibodies are available from India. We undertook this study to evaluate the role of second generation anti CCP antibodies (anti CCP-2) in predicting erosive disease in Indian patients with rheumatoi...
